Melanie Mareuge-Lejeune and Stephen Derwent Griffiths

Updated: Sep 20, 2021

It’s a shame that this has to start with an Employment Tribunal Story. I promise I will upload much more important things later on, such as pictures of home grown pumpkins.

For those of you who read the judgments that come up when you type my name; I wanted to correct the names of the Respondents in there. The person who is recorded as Steve Griffiths is in actual fact Stephen Derwent Griffiths. The one who is recorded as Melanie Griffiths is Melanie Mareuge-Lejeune. Melanie Mareuge-Lejeune is the second respondent who is mentioned in the Reserved costs judgment. The one whose unreasonable behaviour is described as a “ruse” to discredit me. What she did was going to all of my former employers and ask for references by falsely posing as a prospective employer. Her fishing expedition, because I took them to an Employment Tribunal. She definitely caught a couple of red herrings! She is still trying to fry those herrings.

Here is the link to the judgments: https://www.gov.uk/employment-tribunal-decisions/ms-ilkay-cetin-v-mr-steve-griffiths-and-mrs-melanie-griffiths-2204788-2018

There is lots to say but I will hold back. Only addressing the names issue because, as part of the proceedings it’s been said that I can prove their names when necessary. I still think its the strangest thing to suggest I have to prove former employers' names but well... there will be more on this later on.

And it’s worth saying that there are many mistakes in the judgments, especially the costs one. This is not the time and place to correct them. There will be a place and time where it's corrected. That’s it for now!.
